AIM SmartyCam Race Car Video Camera with Data Overlay.
The SmartyCamis a revolutionary solid-state digital video camera that can be used as a stand-alone camera or connected to an AiM data logger or ECU (ECU connection requires an ECU Bridge kit, sold separately).
The built-in GPS and 3-axis accelerometer work together to calculate speed, acceleration, lap time, track map, and track position. All of this information can be overlaid on screen and recorded as part of the video footage, without ever connecting the Smarty Cam to another piece of equipment! You can even use it as a helmet cam on a bicycle, snowboard, or parachuting. Connect the SmartyCam to an ECU or an AiM data logger and you can expand the overlay to include information from those sources.
The SmartyCam is the Only Wireless Race Car Camera that puts all the Real-Time Data you need right on your racing video clips. Information like Speed, G-forces, Lap #, and Lap times are invaluable for learning how to go faster. You can configure the data layout for a customized look and feel. The built in GPS maps the track and keeps track of your lap times and speeds. The three axis accelerometer shows lateral g-forces and helps identify braking points. You'll learn something everytime you use the SmartyCam Race Camera. Works wonders for ALL types of car and motorcycle racing as well as karting. Realize your full driving potential with a Smarty Cam from ActionVideoCams.
SmartyCam records your technical data together with videos.
SmartyCam helps analyze your sessions & ...improve your performance!

Data acquisition from integrated GPS, 3D accelerometer and CAN connection
GPS The integrated GPS enables SmartyCam to record lap and split times (which can be overlayed to images). Thanks to GPS manager software, in fact, it is possible to configure the GPS module, recording the key points of each track, arrival, line and splits.
3D accelerometer The integrated 3D accelerometer allows you to see in-line and lateral G-forces which can be overlayed to images. Thanks to the tri-axial accelerometer it is also possible to see display images even upside-down, which can be quite helpful during installation to choose the best frame.
CAN connection The CAN connection enables SmartyCam to receive a huge amount of data from the engine control unit (via ECU bridge) as well as from a logger, without the installation of additional sensors. CAN connection allows reading of RPM, water temperature, oil pressure, Lambda value, engaged gear and many others.
For any Motorsports Enthusiast, we have the SmartyCam. This tiny camcorder has a built in three axis acceleromter, GPS, & Data Overlay. The SmartyCam race car camera records technical data like lap number, lap times, speed, and g-forces on top of the video for analysis after each track session. It not only makes high quality videos, but it allows the user to review their performance with relavent data superimposed on the screen, and make adjustments to go faster the next time out. The SmartyCam works for all racing, from go karts to F1, Airplanes to Offshore, motocross to MotoGP.
